Field Trips

Our Sturgeon City field trips are designed to compliment your curriculum while using age-appropriate games, activities and/or experiments.

The cost for all field trip programming is $3 per student.  Customized programs can be designed upon special request and the Program Coordinator must be given a one month notice.

Prior to Arrival:

- Make your reservations. Check our Calendar of Events for available dates. Call (910) 938-5079 or email programming@sturgeoncity.org early to get your preferred dates.

- Have your students divided into  four groups. Nametags are recommended but not required.

- We require a minimum of one adult to accompany each group or class. There is a maximum of four chaperones per group as classroom space and parking is limited.
**Our policy for chaperones has changed due to space limitations. Please do not have more than four chaperones per group.

- We can accommodate up to  120 students per day. Should your group exceed this number you will need to select two dates.

- We try to stay outdoors as much as possible, even in the rain, as long as it is safe and the children are prepared.  Please urge your students to dress for the weather in the days leading up to your arrival.

Upon Arrival:

- Buses will enter through the main gain and pull in front the Administration Building. A Sturgeon City staff member will greet the buses. All permission slips and payment will be collected at this time.

- Please unload buses and place students and chaperones into their pre-assigned groups. Educators will be outside with numbered posters to assist you with splitting into groups.
