Paddlewheels

These InStreem Aeration Units are different from all other units in the fact that other units draw water from the surface and jet or spray it into the air.  These are not effective in the fact that water is lost due to evaporation and wind and it still does not oxygenate the bottom, which is the original purpose of the aeration unit.  This type of aeration units only reoxygenate the surface waters, which are already oxygenated.  The InStreem units pull water from the surface as well as the water column and spin it through 10 large plastic disks that are rotating on one central axis.  There is a baffle on the front of the unit that draws the water into the unit and through the disks but there is also a baffle on the back that can be angled in any direction.  We have this baffle aimed directly at the bottom in order to deliver 2 very important ingredients, current and much needed oxygen.  This current is to mimic the original water hydrology and destratify the water column and slowing or stopping the eutrophication process.  The oxygen allows organism to resettle in their niches and for the bottom to undergo aerobic decomposition verses anaerobic decomposition.   Each InStreem unit puts out 200 gallons of oxygenated water per second.
