The
Advanced Marine Science Institute also did a segment on marine
biology. They shared with the students different displays of which
organisms can be seen in Wilson Bay.
“I was doing the bottom feeders, which includes the sturgeon.
This part was an activity that involved youth leaders,”
said AMSI student Roy Tootle.
The displays included preserved starfish, sturgeon, and bottom
dwelling organisms. There were also live organisms such as a legless
lizard, turtle, and alligator.
“Presenting what we learned is interesting because I can
be the teacher,” explained AMSI student Ramon Rosario.
