The earth group took a journey with former fellows from the Sturgeon City Institute, into the salt marsh in Wilson Bay. They learned about the water and animal life.
Students said that they did not know that some of the animals in the marsh. Nor did they realize how shallow the water can get and how deep it can be in some spots.
They also had to find various types of data including pH, temperature, salinity, and density.
Each person had a job. So, they took off behind the former fellow Meredith Morgan, through the marsh.
Some students were taking chances walking on there own in the marsh and got stuck. Their peers laughed at them, after they help them out.
“This is a great learning experience for the students to know more about there environment and also Wilson Bay.” Jo Fisher, earth group leader, said “I hope that they get out of it as much as I do.”
