Planetarium Shows


Bring your family, group or organization to Sturgeon City to watch a show in our mobile planetarium!


If you have never been in a mobile planetarium, it is an inflatable dome and the floor is the concrete floor of the building. So bring your beach chairs, blankets, pillow or whatever makes you comfortable. The best viewing position is laying on the floor and looking up. The show will take place all around you!

Two Small Pieces of Glass (25 minutes)

This show talks about Galileo's invention of the telescope all the way to the Hubble telescope used today.

*Suitable for all ages 

Back to the Moon for Good (25 minutes)

Back to the moon talks about what it took to get the first human on the moon. It also touches on a space program that would put people back on the moon. 

From Earth to the Universe (30 minutes)

Journey from the sun to all of the planets learning along the way. Viewers will learn about ancient Greek astronomers as well as the solar system.
